This study was carried out to investicatied the content, kind numbers, components of total essential oil of platycodon grandiflorum according to each years radix.
The abtained result were summarized as follow :
1. The content of total essential oil increased more in five years radix(258%), in seven years radix(266%), in eight years radix(308%), than in two years radix(100%).
2. The Kind numbers of essential oil component increased more in seven years radix(132%), in eight years radix(153%) than in two years radix(100%)
3. The essential oil component content that outflowed according to each years radix by GC analysis show respectively maximum at 24.939minute(35%) in two years radix, at 24.950minute(46.37%) in five years radix, at 24.974minute(36.18%) in seven years radix, at 24.975 minute(31.60%) in eight years radix.
4. Essenyial oil components of platycodon grandiflorum by GC-MS analysis werw main Aldehyde, Aliphatic hydrocarbon, Alcohol, Ketone.
